Knee & Thigh Area
The knee is one of the most vulnerable joints in the body, susceptible to ligament injuries, meniscal tears, pain around the kneecap, and conditions like osteoarthritis. It is often the joint that compensates for restrictions or weakness of the hip, ankle and foot joint.
Our Approach:
- Early Pain Management: We use modalities such as taping, acupuncture and manual techniques to reduce inflammation and pain. Knees settles well with taylored activity modification or biomechanical corrections.
- Biomechanical Analysis: We identify issues such as suboptimal alignment or muscle imbalances that may contribute to injury and pain. We assess what movements are habitually overloading your knees i.e. the way you move from sit to stand, how you squat or kneel on the floor.
- Rehabilitation Programs: Structured progression of strengthening and mobility exercises, targeting muscles like the gluteals, quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves. We ensure you get strong in the movement patterns you need for your functional activity i.e. walking, running or climbing
- Injury Prevention: Education on proper movement mechanics and conditioning to reduce future risks. We identify training errors or movement issues contributing to your issue. We give you the tools to prevent future issues.
